Workshop Description:
This course discusses the sign, symptoms, diagnoses and treatment of infertility. The course will deepen understanding of etiology and pathology of infertility in both Chinese and Western medicine systems. Emphases are on modern theories of differential diagnosis, Chinese herbs in combination with modern Western medicine, and the latest clinical progress of infertility. This CEU is taught in Chinese with an English translator. Notes are supplied in English.

Course Objectives: 
1) Discuss the pathology and differential diagnosis of infertility.
2) Deepen understanding the Chinese medicine theories of infertility.
3) Discuss the integrative approach of Chinese medicine and modern Western medicine for the syndrome.
4) Discuss how to modify the treatment strategy and improve the therapeutic outcomes according to the menstrual cycle.
5) Discuss Chinese herbal treatment protocol before and after IVF.
6) Discuss differentiations, Chinese herbal treatment formularies and latest progress for the syndrome.

Instrutor Bio:
Dr. Ting-ting Zhang, M.D., is the Director of the Gynecology Department of Shang Hai Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Dr. Zhang received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Gynecology of TCM from the Shanghai University of TCM. Her published works include, Modern TCM diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecological Difficult and Complicated Cases, Gynecology of TCM OTC Handbook, and Gynecology of TCM Handbook. Currently, Dr. Zhang is a faculty member in ACTCM's Doctorate program.
