1. Simple Search Steps for on-line catalog searching:

In the
Search for text box, enter the value to be searched
for
-
In the
Search by list box, choose one option from Keywords,
Authors, Titles, Journal Titles, Subject Headings, Enhanced Subject
Headings, Numbers

In the
Material Type list box, choose one option from different
materials Three Search Tips:
-
It is better to uncheck
Exact Words even the system defaults
it.

Do not includes
A, An or The in your search value
-
Click
Help button when you need any help
-
Click Search Now button to display results
2. Find
Information in Results:
-
On the second line in the result page, notice how many pages
of results you retrieve

Click each link to open its detail information
-
Or check item(s) that you are interested then click
Details
button to view page by page
Click All button for checking all items or
Click This Page button for checking this page’s items quickly
3. Other Options in the Main Page
-
Properties: empower the search by selecting additional Search
Properties
-
Display Recent Arrivals: displays the most recent acquisitions
or serial issues. This could be called the "What's New" function
-
Change to Power Search: Power Search automatically aggregates
all search results. The collected results may then be further manipulated.
The list may be refined or extended, and then output with a variety
of sorts and formats.
